Fraction Packed
In a relationship,
When things go sour,
Remember,
You are but a fraction
Of what
Could have happened.
In a relationship,
When things go sour,
Remember,
You are but a fraction
Of what
Could have happened.
I don’t know what I would do
if I just knew exactly what I was going to do.
How you can afford to pay me mind,
When you can barely balance your sense,
Is a debt I’m sure has gone undefined
At the cost of us being friends.
She asked me why I’d paid these dues
For petty changes, and then I spoke:
To your credit, I’ve found my interests gained
And I am rich because my heart’s been broke.
Even in short, I still long to be more. And if you’re made to be mine, I’ll redefine to be yours.
What will we do when we’re old?
Please don’t say regret.
But anything I did when I did as I was told
Has been a did that I just did to forget.
This is such a great speech. It’s inspiring to see someone speak out about their immediate surroundings, ignoring discomfort and conforming to expectation for the sake of agitating thought amongst her peers and more importantly, those who mold the education system.
This video was sent to me by my homey Tai in response to this morning’s tweet.

I get so distracted
by some people’s reactions
that i dont see my own faults
for what they are
for what they are
At times so self destructive
with no intent or motive
but behind this emotion
my sensible heart
my sensible heart
See i’m no king
I wear no crown
but desperate times they seem over now
but still I’m weakened somehow
and it tears me apart
it tears me apart
But I hope to learn as time goes by
that I should trust what’s deep inside
burning bright oh burning bright
my sensible heart
my sensible heart
my sensible heart
my sensible heart
