The Artorialist: Special Edition – Marcus Troy for Ronnie Fieg Polo Ranger Boots

Yesterday, I was asked by well-known lifestyle blogger, Marcus Troy, to do a portrait of him in the style of my recent “Artorialist Series” after he saw my 2nd installment, entitled, “Everyday Couture: Sydney”. He’s been a big inspiration of mine on a number of levels and has shown me and my brand a lot of support lately, especially with my Die Enormous Toque which he wears semi-religiously. You may remember the video he did for it which I posted back in October. More recently, he was seen wearing the hat in the shots he took for the Nike Bespoke AF1 he designed. I can’t be mad at exposure at that level, and I’m always willing to show love right back.

This shot was tough to work with because of the black jacket and having to illustrate it in reverse using white and also considering this is only the 3rd time I’ve ever tried to illustrate anything in this style. I took a more refined approach to the details, but still wanted the style to be loose and casual. It was a lot of fun working on this and I’m pretty stoked to continue with these illustrations.

Big shout out to Marcus Troy for the continued support and to everyone for your responses to my work. I appreciate it a lot.

Enjoy.
