Because The Kids Don’t Play – Event Recap Video
by be.
This is my first chance to look at the BTKDP event from a step back and really get a sense of the people in the space and the vibe of the evening. This is all really surreal to me still.. I’m very grateful for everyone who was present at my first solo exhibit to show me support. I know I’ve said that a lot, but I mean it, a lot.
Thank you to my brothers Matt and Bobby McGurk for taking the time to put this together for me. I love my team, man.

The closing shot with the finger up in the air sums up the up and up. Genius work.
Congrats B.. you killlled it.
I’m bummed that I couldn’t stay for the remainder of the show (sick) and finally meet the man behind the blog/art. BUT I am stoked on the small piece that I was fortunate enough to secure before the wall tags lite up like a bingo board. Yeaaah.. I was there at 7:10….
A few months ago I vowed to start an art collection from artists of all walks of life (as shallow as my pockets are). I knew one thing was certain tho, I wanted to start it with the LLeague. Thanks B… freakin excited.
Congrats again – the precise workmanship is beyond me (double take, no screens here), the black sheen of the Krink markers popped hard (some of the pieces looked like they were jumping out at me), the layering of the colors were amazing and the drips on the larger pieces were just grimy (serious personality), not to mention the tie in with the poem/date/message. Bomb… too much to handle at once.
Can’t wait for whatever comes next (after a well desired rest of course).
