I just received my Ronnie Fieg x Marcus Troy Sebago Docksides and I’m very excited about them.

I was looking to pick up a pair of brown deck shoes but was on the fence about what pair to purchase when I saw the first post about this project. The combination of a classic silhouette with high quality materials and nice stabs of colour had me wanting both pairs immediately. Unfortunately, Davidz doesn’t ship internationally. Fortunately, both of these dudes showed me love and made it happen.

I haven’t been this excited to receive anything in the mail since working on my New Era cap, and I’m stoked about having got both pairs. Each shoe comes in an individual bag with drawstrings, and each pair comes with a booklet that gives the consumer some background on the individuals behind this project. The shoes have leather insoles with Marcus’ logo embossed in the left shoe and Ronnie’s logo embossed in the right. (The insoles cannot be removed in case you’re like me and like to take them out for a different fit).

I admittedly wore them right out of the box, and within 10 minutes of my first wear (brown/red) I had a bunch of compliments and “Where’d you get those?” type responses, which always seems to validate owning a product immediately.

Look forward to seeing Ronnie Fieg leading 2 designs each from Jake Davis, William Yan, StreetEtiquette.com (Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs) and Greg Weinstein, respectively.

Big shout to Ronnie and Marcus for making this happen and doing such a great job on the designs. I appreciate it and I’m excited to see what’s next.
