Can I Live? & Die Enormous: Marcus Troy x IdeallClothing

A couple of months ago I was ‘introduced’ to a lifestyle and fashion journalist named, Marcus Troy. I wasn’t introduced to him in the traditional sense. I was ‘introduced’ to him in the sense that I was put on to him by a number of people who were following him on Twitter. Yeah, it sounds strange, but that’s the way of the world these days.

I started to feel that I was a little bit late learning about him, and noticed that he had actually linked a mixtape that I put out with Lissa MonĂ©t from last year entitled, “The Difference”. The degrees of separation were feeling too close for me to not start to pay attention. So I did. Firstly, by following him on Twitter. And secondly, by staying updated with his blog.

I respect his opinion very much. He’s engaging, professional, deliberate, and intriguing in his style of blogging. And in a world where a blog is a blog is a blog, it’s quite refreshing to see that www.MarcusTroy.com is actually a personal experience through the eyes of the writer, the doer, the in-the-know, than it is a presentation of “Hey, have you seen this?” fare. So when I was waiting for my new Fall/Winter 09 IdeallClothing product to come in, I thought that I’d send him some pieces so he could see where the brand is, and hopefully be a part of the experience of the growth I feel the brand is about to take in 2010.

I sent him my 7 Gauge Stripe Toque, my new Die Enormous Toque, and the Bloody Money Crewneck.

And this video is what he sent me in response.

Thank you Marcus. This was beyond my expectation, especially when really I expected nothing in return at all.

Building a relationship is not just a click away. I appreciate this so much.

Love&Respect as usual.
