I just finished this design and I really like it a lot. Why did I do this design, you ask? Because today is October 16th and I never forget today because it’s the birthday of a few people I know and so I wanted to send them a shout out and make them a card.

So here goes.

• Catherine
(She used to be my across the street neighbor and she had one of her friends rip up a poem that I wrote and put it in my own hat when I was a little kid. I haven’t seen Catherine and hung out with her in a long time, but she’s known me since Kindergarden and unfortunately the last 2 times I’ve seen her was at funerals. I agree that this needs to change). Happy Birthday Catherine! Let’s hang out soon.

• Tony
(He had all the Jordans when we were kids. Every single ones that dropped he got them. Grape Vs? Military IVs? Didn’t matter. He got em.) Good dude and his little brother actually stopped me in the mall last Christmas just to say wassup. He was like 4 when I knew Tony, so that’s crazy to me. I hope you’re well dude. Happy Birthday!

• Monica
(She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I went to high school with her. I actually didn’t know it was her birthday until I saw it on Facebook. Oh Facebook. Her older sis got me in contact with some super cool folks that work with young people dealing with mental health issues in their lives, that I (shoot me in the foot) haven’t gotten in contact with, but need to badly. And her younger sis is in Garden State yelling on top of the construction stuff wearing a garbage bag. ) Happy Birthday Monica! Hope you’re still saving the world.

• BOI 1DA
Lastly, I wanna send a shout out to the homey BOI-1DA (producer of Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” and “Forever”). He’s celebrating his birthday tonight in Toronto at Embassy Night Club (117 Peter Street). I’m sure a lot of my people are gonna be there showing some love. HustleGRL, 1LOVETO, Chilly Willy, etc, etc. I’m sick as hell and will probably just be sitting at home all night in bed. But Happy Bornday homey. You’ve been a key player in moving Toronto skyward in the past couple years. Keep it up.
