thanks for the explanation. I appreciate the fact that you didn’t just read it in a once over and take it for what you thought it was and walk away. i feel like that happens a lot with the stuff that I write. it’s like some people think that since it doesn’t take much for me to write it, it also doesn’t take much for me to openly share it. Those people are terribly wrong. But those of you who do seem to be paying attention to the words I post on this blog are very much appreciated. Believe it.

Well I think the “shooting” part is moreso of an emotional or mental act of violence. I didn’t think it was literal.

Especially at the : “I’ll sever his initials and plus from his heart,
Divvy his twinkling visual spark” part. I took it as destroying the person you/he are inside.

“And their world no longer filled by a son,
Whose ignorance was excused as his fun.”
The person has lost himself? And is no longer the person he once was.

Is this based on personal experience? It sounds like you went through a period where the rug was pulled out from beneath you so to speak. You lost a sense of your identity…forced to go through certain aspects of life that you were either not ready to, or didn’t know how to handle (Blast his bashful ways to get older….Let me provoke the joke out his throat, Stage his new stage nerves
And force him to choke,)
Almost like a war that you’ve had with yourself.

I could be wrong. And I read it several times. It could be interpreted literally as well…but I thought maybe my interpretation of that would be too extreme?

Its very very expressive though. Deeep!
