I feel you. More than I can begin to say...I feel you. There's nothing worse than when your own body betrays you. I pray that you get some real peace real soon.

Bless

As a Kinesiology grad I've learned that the body is a fucked up thing that has a mind of its own. The littlest offset can send a whole line of things into chaos. Its really amazing, but sometimes incredibly painful. Sorry to hear that you're in that place.

If you're still interested in working out regularly or every now and then I would suggest swimming. It's great for people who experience a lot of pain with weight bearing exercises such as running. It's a lot harder than it looks because it tests your technique and breathing. Once you get the hang of it you feel like a fish! I love it. Had to take a class in university and the gains are priceless.

Or you could bike ride, however you're using mostly your legs (still intense) unlike with swimming where you will use your whole body. Ask your massage therapist. He or she will be able to tell you which one is better.

Anywho, take care be.

I'm 28 and two years ago ran my back out. I'm extreme - for good AND bad. Extreme highs, extreme lows. Extreme dedication and extreme depression. So during a time when I ran for an hour in the morning and an hour at night hardcore, I didn't realize that this would fuck my back up till it was too late. Slip disc. I couldn't sit down and I could barely stand up. Ironically my eagerness to get fit resulted in my effectively not being allowed to work out for about a year. I missed running - it was like an hour of release. Meditation in motion. So I started to swim instead - this strengthened my back to the point that I think it's as healed as it could be.
I'm even running again, though more carefully.
Peace.

My mom used to have back pains to the point where it would hurt to switch positions while laying in her bed. She would go days without showering & would struggle to go to the washroom to pee. I couldn't do anything than to help her get things & watch her cry =[. I can imagine the pain you're going through with your situation & hope u get better sooner than later. I'll be praying.

Stay up,
Love you be.
